Happiness exists... Where to find it?

No person can find happiness except within himself, but he has to be guided to the best way to find it, which can be summed up as the need to be sincere, courageous, hard working, loving towards people, cooperative and unselfish.

Happiness is not a myth, it is very real and is enjoyed by many. We can enjoy it too if we learn from experiences and benefit from the trials and tribulations we have gone trough in life. With patience, we can explore and learn so much from ourselves: we can get rid of many physical and psychological diseases with knowledge, will power and of course patience. And only then we can live the lives that Allah has given us; gratefully, following the rules and free of misery.

People are the mirror of the individual. If you behave well towards them they will behave well towards you. And the opposite is also true as one gets back only what one puts out.
The one who have a good attitude always find more peace of mind and is less likely to experience anxiety or painful situations. In Addition, having a good attitude  is an act of worship to Allah, The Exalted.

Allah says in His Glorious Qu'ran: " Show forgiveness, enjoin what is good , and turn away from the ignorant" (7:199).
The Messenger of Allah (Peace and Blessing be upon him) said: "the most beloved of you to me are those who are best in attitude and humble, who get along with people and people get along with them. The most disliked of you to me are those who walk around spreading malicious gossip and causing division between friends, those who seek out the faults of the innocent.".

A psychologist said that there are 10 keys to happiness:
1.Do a work or hobby that you love.
2.Take care of you health. Healthy body = healthy mind'
3.Have a goal in your life for it give you motivation.
4.Take life as it comes whether bitter or sweet.
5. Live in the present, yesterday is gone and tomorrow  might never come
6.Think hard about your decisions and actions, do not blame anyone for their consequences.
7.Look at those who are worse off  than you.
8.Smile and be cheerful and keep company with optimistic people.
9.Strive to make others happy so that you may benefit from the atmosphere of happiness.
10. Make the most of occasions of happiness and joy, and regards them as necessary to renew your own happiness.

Let us remind ourselves that in The Race to Jannah, the happiest people are those with the best attitude...

10 Thing to know about Allah and The purpose of your creation

1) Who is the creator ?
Allah, it is he Who has made for you the earth as a dwelling place and the sky as a canopy . and has given you shape and made your shapes good (looking) and has provided you with good things. That is Allah, your Lord : so Blessed be Allah, the Lord of the Alamin (mankind, jinn and all that exists). (40: 64)

He created you (all) from a single person (Adam) ; then made from him his wife {Hawwa , (Eve)} . and He has sent down for you of cattle eight pairs (of the sheep , two , male and female ; of the goats , two , male and female of the oxen , two , male and female and of the camels, two, male and female) . He creates you in the wombs of your mothers : creation after creation in there veils of darkness. Such is Allah your Lord His is the Kingdom . La ilaha illa Huwa (none has the right to be worshipped but He). How then are you turned away ?
(39:6)

Indeed your Lord is Allah, Who created the heavens and the earth in six days, and then He rose over (Istawa) the Throne (really in manner that suits His Majesty) . He brings the night as a cover over the day, seeking it rapidly , and (He created) the sun, the moon, the stars subjected to His Command. Surely, His is the Creation and Commandment. Blessed is Allah, the Lord of the Alamin (mankind, jinn and all that exists)!
(7; 54)

Such is Allah, your Lord in truth. So after the truth, what else can there be, save error ? How then are you turned away ? (10:32)

2) Who is Allah ?
He is Allah beside Whom La Ilaha Illa Huwa (none has the right to be worshipped but He), the King, the Holy, the one Free from all defects, the Giver of security, the Watcher over His creatures, the All-Mighty, the Compeller, the Supreme. Glory, be to Allah! (High is He) above all that they associate as partners with Him .
(59: 3)

He is Allah, the creator, the Inventor of of all things, the Bestower of forms. To Him belong the Best Names. All that is in the heavens and the earth glorify Him. And He is the All-Mighty, the All-Wise . (59: 24)

Verily! I am Allah! La ilaha illa Ana (none has the right to be worshipped but I), So worship Me, and perform As-Salat (Iqamat-as-Salat) for My Remembrance.
(20;14)

Allah! La ilaha illa Huwa (none has the right to be worshipped but He), Al-Hayyul-Qayyuum (the Ever Living the One Who sustains and protects all that exists). Neither slumber nor sleep overtakes Him. To Him belongs whatever is in the heavens and whatever is on the earth .Who is he that can intercede with Him except with His Permission ? He Knows what happens to them (His creatures) in this world, and what will happen to them in the Hereafter. And they will never compass any thing of His Knowledge except that which He wills. His Kursi extends over the heavens and the earth and He feels no fatigue in guarding and preserving them. And He is the Most High, the Most Great. (This Verse 2:255 is called Ayat-ul-Kursi) .
( 2:255)

He merges the night into the day (i.e.the decrease in the hours of the night is added to the hours of the day), and He merges the day into the night (i.e. the decrease in the hours of the day is added the hours of the night). And has subjected the sun and the moon: each runs its course for a term appointed. Such is Allah, your Lord; His is the Kingdom , And those, whom you invoke or call upon instead of Him, own not even a Qitmir (the thin membrane over the date-stone). ( 35: 13)

Allah bears witness that La ilaha illa Huwa (none has the right to be worshipped but He), and the angels, and those having knowledge (also give this witness); (He always) maintains His creation in justice La ilaha illa Huwa (none has the right to be worshipped but He), the All-Mighty, the All-Wise. The Holy Qur'an, Chapter 3, Verse 18

Truly! Allah is my Lord and your Lord, so worship Him (Alone). This is the straight Path. The Holy Qur'an,
(3:51)

3) Did you think that Allah created you only for play and without any purpose ?
Did you think that We had created you in play (without any purpose), and that you would not be brought back to Us? ( 3: 115)

4) For what did Allah create mankind ?
And I (Allah) created not the jinn and mankind except that they should worship Me (Alone). ( 51: 56)

5) What did Allah command us to do ?
Verily! Allah commands that you should render back the trusts to those to whom they are due; and that when you judge between men, you judge with justice. Verily, how excellent is the teaching with He (Allah) gives you! Truly, Allah is Ever All-Hearer, All-Seer. (4:58)

Say (O Muhammad pbuh ) : Come, I will recite what your Lord has prohibited you from: be Join not anything in worship with Him; be good and dutiful to your parents; Kill not your children because of poverty “ We provide sustenance for you and for them; come not near to Al-Fawahish (shameful sins, illegal sexual intercourse) whether committed openly or secretly; and kill not anyone whom Allah has forbidden, except for a just cause (according to Islamic law). This He has commanded you that you may understand. (6:151)

6) From where shall we seek guidance?
In the Name of Allah, the Most. Gracious, the Most Merciful.
All the praises and thanks be to Allah, the Lord of the Alamin (mankind, jinn and all that exists).
The Most Gracious, the Most Merciful .
The Only Owner (and the only Ruling judge) of the Day of Recompense (i.e the Day of Resurrection)
You (Alone) we worship, and You (Alone) we ask for help (for each and everything).
Guide us to the Straight Way.
(1,  1-6)

7) Who shall we invoke in time of disaster?
And when they embark on a ship, they invoke Allah, making their Faith pure for Him Only: but when He brings them safely to land, behold they give a share of their worship to others . ( 29: 65)

And when harm touches man, he invokes Us, lying on his side, or sitting or standing. But when We have removed his harm from him, he passes on as if he had never invoked Us for a harm that touched him! Thus it is made fair-seeming to the Musrifun that which they used to do. (10:12)

8) What happened to the previous nations when they disobeyed Allah ?
So We punished each (of them) for his sins; of them were some on whom We sent Hasib (a violent wind with shower of stones) (as on the people of Lut (Lot) , and of them were some who were overtaken by As-saihah (torment “ awful cry. (as Thamud or Shuabs people), and of them were some whem We caused the earth to swallow (as Qarun (Korah), and of them were some whom We drowned (as the people of Nuh (Noah), or Firaun (Pharaoh) and his people). It was not Allah Who wronged them, but they wronged themselves .
(29,40)

9) Does Allah guard and save the Qur'an from corruption ?
Verily, We, it is We Who have sent down the Dhikr (i.e. the Qur'an) and surely, We will guard it (from corruption). (15: 9)

10) Who should we worship ?
Verily! I am Allah La ilaha illa Ana (none has the right to be worshipped but I), so worship Me, and perform As-Salat (Iqamat-as-salat) for My Remembrance.

Light from Jumaah to Jumaah

The virtues of Surah Al Kahf (The Cave 18)

Imam Ahmad recorded that Al-Bara' said: "A man recited Al-Kahf and there was an animal in the house which began acting in a nervous manner. He looked, and saw a fog or cloud overhead. He mentioned this to the Prophet , who said:
«اقْرَأْ فُلَانُ، فَإِنَّهَا السَّكِينَةُ تَنْزِلُ عِنْدَ الْقُرْآنِ أَوْ تَنَزَّلَتْ لِلْقُرْآن»
"Keep on reciting so and so, for this is the tranquillity which descends when one reads Qur'an or because of reading Qur'an."
Imam Ahmad recorded from Abu Ad-Darda' that the Prophet said:
«مَنْ حَفِظَ عَشْرَ آيَاتٍ مِنْ أَوَّلِ سُورَةِ الْكَهْفِ عُصِمَ مِنَ الدَّجَّال»
Whoever memorizes ten Ayat from the beginning of Surat Al-Kahf will be protected from the Dajjal. (Muslim, Abu Dawud, An-Nasa'i and At-Tirmidhi)

In his Mustadrak, Al-Hakim recorded from Abu Sa`id that the Prophet said:
«مَنْ قَرَأَ سُورَةَ الْكَهْفِ فِي يَوْمِ الْجُمُعَةِ أَضَاءَ لَهُ مِنَ النُّورِ مَا بَيْنَهُ وَبَيْنَ الْجُمُعَتَيْن»
Whoever recites Surat Al-Kahf on Friday, it will illuminate him with light from one Friday to the next.
Then he said: "This Hadith has a Sahih chain, but they (Al-Bukhari and Muslim) did not record it.'' Al-Hafiz Abu Bakr Al-Bayhaqi also recorded it in his Sunan from Al-Hakim, then he narrated with his own chain that the Prophet said:
«مَنْ قَرَأَ سُورَةَ الْكَهْفِ كَمَا نَزَلَتْ، كَانَتْ لَهُ نُورًا يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَة»
Whoever recites Surat Al-Kahf as it was revealed, it will be a light for him on the Day of Resurrection.
In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.
(1. All praise is due to Allah, Who has sent down to His servant the Book, and has not placed therein any crookedness.) (2. (He has made it) straight to give warning of a severe punishment from Him, and to give good news to the believers, who do righteous deeds, that they shall have a fair reward.) (3. They shall abide therein forever.) (4. And to warn those who say, "Allah has begotten a child.'') (5. No knowledge have they of such a thing, nor had their fathers. Mighty is the word that comes out of their mouths. They utter nothing but a lie.)

Why Our Prayers Not Answered in the way we want?

IBRAHEEM IBN ADHAM ( may Allaah have mercy on him) a third century scholar, a teacher and a companion of Sufyaan ath-Thawree, was asked about the saying of Allaah - the Most High: "AND YOUR LORD SAYS: 'CALL ON ME I WILL ANSWER YOUR PRAYER..." [Soorah Ghaafir (40): 60]
"We supplicate and we are not answered." WHY?

So he said to them:
You know Allaah, Yet you do not obey Him
You recite the Qur'aan, Yet do not act according to it
You know Shaitaan (Devil), Yet you have agreed with him
You proclaim that you love the Messenger of Allah (sallallaahu 'alaihi wa sallam), Yet you abandon his Sunnah
You proclaim your love for Paradise, Yet you do not act to gain it
You proclaim your fear for the Fire, Yet you do not prevent yourselves from sins
You say "Indeed death is true", Yet you have not prepared for it
You engage yourselves with finding faults with others, Yet you do not look at your faults
You eat of that which Allah has provided for you, Yet you do not thank Him
You bury your dead, Yet you do not take a lesson from it.

Are we going to win the race?

Indeed the ultimate success in the eyes of a Muslim is attaining Jannah (Paradise). Although we believe in every aspect of the unseen, still,  in the matter of describing paradise, there is so much that goes beyond our comprehension. Allah (Subhanahu wa Ta'ala ) has said: "He prepared for His servants what no eye has seen and no ear has heard" (Narrated by Bukhari and Muslim).

Who are the souls worthy of such blessing?

Today it is a common belief among us, Muslims that anyone who professes "la llaha illallah and Muhamadan Rassululah" will enter Jannah. No problem, but....this not just a mere statement.
It is an oath, a commitment with conditions and requirements concerning all the different aspects of life. Do we truly understand the implications of La Illaha Illalah Muhamadan Rassululah?
My guess is no. We repeat those words day in and day out without a second thought while our actions and lifestyles attest to the opposite. And we expect paradise!

Allah gave so many words of warning about being laid back in our way of life...Yet so many of us consider ourselves the inheritors of Jannah, while neglecting our duties to our Rabb and taking the opposite direction of the Sunnah of Rassululah (Sal Allahu Alayhi wa Salam). Even going as far as denying some of the laws that do not suit our desires. Our customs and traditions, materialism and man made social systems are now taking over what uniquely belongs to The Most Merciful One.

The blessing of Jannah is too great not to have pricey price tag. And that price is true faith shown by obeying Allah and His Messenger.

Allah the All Mighty says: "and whoever desires the hereafter and exerts the effort due to it while being a believer, those are the ones whose effort is appreciated." (Surah Al Israa 17:19)

We must return to the book of Allah and show our love for the Messenger (Sal Allahu Alayhi Wa Salam) in obedience and actions. We must find out what Allah asked us to be and strive in becoming it.

Those will be the winners of the race!
